After Receiving a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration in Colorado, Jim moved to Montana to start his life in tourism. Co-founding a river outfitting business in Big Sky in 1992, Jim helped grow the business over the next seventeen years to one of the largest raft companies in Montana - utilizing over forty staff members annually.   Jim specialized in sales, marketing, government relations and risk management while owning the business.   The success of the business was based on a strong commitment to customer service which Jim now carries forward into the Business Development of the Bozeman Tourism Business Improvement District. Jim enjoys life in Bozeman and the Gallatin Valley with his wife and three children and can be found exploring the slopes, trails and rivers of the surrounding mountains every time an opportunity arises.
