More Information about Young Professionals Group

Mission of Young Professionals Group:

The BACC Young Professionals is made up of motivated, energetic young professionals certain to become the community’s future leaders. YPG offers its members a way to link their personal passions with professional ambitions. YPG encourages members to get involved and make a difference by becoming active participants in the professional, civic and social aspects of Bozeman.

Young Professionals Group was started to create a place for young career people to get a head start in the Bozeman community and create a network that will grow into a strong relationship based web of business people. The members of YPG are the future board members of our non-profits, the future community leaders, and YPG provides a “jump start” into the business world in Bozeman.

Goals of Young Professionals Group:

To develop a well-rounded group of young professionals by encouraging participation in vital aspects of community and business. This is accomplished through four committees:

Community Service Committee:  This committee is responsible for planning and holding events in which members of YPG can participate in various service projects around the Bozeman community. These can be full-day projects, sitting on non-profit boards, or short-term projects.

Social Committee: This committee is responsible for planning and holding events of a social nature for our members to network and get to know one another. Social events are vital to the YPG because it lets our members build relationships with one another that will lead to business connections outside of each YPG meeting

Mentoring Committee: This committee is responsible for creating a network of mentors for YPG members who are interested in connecting with established business members. The committee matches up a YPG member with an established business member so they can learn how good business is done within the community and connect the new career people (YPG) to members of the business community. This committee is also responsible for creating a network between YPG members and MSU in order to mentor students interested in becoming part of the Bozeman business community.

Education Committee:  This committee is responsible for planning and holding events of educational value to our members. They survey the group to see what topics YPG would like to hear about and put together talks, panels and events that coincide with the YPG needs. Each educational event brings value and knowledge to YPG members

Membership Committee: This committee is in charge of growing YPG. We do this by continuously contacting non-members, potential members, and businesses. Becoming a member of the Membership Committee would allow you to be the front line of contact with all new potential businesses and members.
