Welcome to Bozeman, Montana, the northern gateway to Yellowstone National Park that will offers incredible recreational opportunities or an inspired and productive meeting venue in an even more inspiring location. The purpose of this division is to enhance economic development of the community through the promotion of tourism and meetings.

goals:
  • Promoting tourism as an economic and sustainable industry.

objectives:
  • Coordinate and manage the distribution of tourism materials at the Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce, (BACC) Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) & 19th Ave Rest Area.
  • Electronic distribution of tourism leads to local businesses.
  • Marketing support for BZN new flights.
  • Visit Bozeman website update.
  • Write and implement a joint tourism marketing plan with Gallatin Valley Tourism Business Improvement District (GVTBID) Committee.

Chair: Daryl Schliem - BACC

goals:
  • Strengthen Gallatin County’s economy through the promotion of the region as a vacation destination and meeting place and by partnering with the State of Montana Office of Tourism and Business Development.

objectives:
  • Attend three Tourism Advisory Council Meetings.
  • Attend Annual Governors' Conference on Tourism.


gallatin valley tourism business improvement district committee (GVTBID)

goals:
  • Enhance regional tourism marketing efforts to attract new markets and continue to grow current markets.

objectives:
  • Complete renewal of Gallatin Valley Tourism Business Improvement District (GVTBID) Committee funding.
  • Design and implement a marketing plan which enhances current tourism marketing efforts.
  • Financial support for Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) new flights.
  • Partner with State, Bozeman CVB & other entities to leverage marketing dollars.
  • Recruit new citywide events.
  • Respond to City-wide RFP’s.
