The purpose of this division is to provide new training and educational and leadership opportunities for Chamber members to assist in addressing 2020 opportunities and beyond.

  • Clarification of Unified Development Code.
  • Engage in the City of Bozeman Strategic Planning process.
  • Provide recommendations for Capital Improvement Plan.

  • To provide a forum for architects and engineers to share ideas & experiences with elected officials.

  • Facilitate candid conversations between the business community and the citizens of Bozeman and Gallatin County.
  • Local and Regional Economic Improvement Plan.

  • Connecting business vision with community vision.

  • Host training courses to address a variety of topics and issues pertinent to current business issues.

  • Develop courses designed to address the core business issues facing Montana employers.


gallatin valley agricultural committee

Chair: Carrie Taylor, First Security Bank - Belgrade

objectives:
  • Continue to develop our partnership with Belgrade Chamber of Commerce.
  • Provide a scholarship to MSU Agriculture Foundation.
  • Work with area elementary schools to fund and coordinate the annual Farm Fair.
  • Work with the Gallatin Valley Agricultural Committee to coordinate the annual FFA Breakfast when it's held in Bozeman.

  • Promote agriculture in Gallatin County through educational, social and legislative support.

objectives:
  • Encourage Chamber members to volunteer at these events.
  • Fundraising to support High School bids.
  • Negotiate bids for hosting High School Events.

  • Promote and support High School sanctioned and non-sanctioned events in Belgrade & Bozeman.

  • Continue to expand manufacturing programs in conjunction with Gallatin College.
  • Expansion of Gallatin College programs and facilities to increase participation.

objectives:
  • Promote all Bobcat Athletic Programs.
  • Small Business Game Changer.
  • Sponsorship of MSU Football Stadium Corporate Room.

public awareness committee

objectives:
  • Business Equipment Tax Elimination.
  • Facilitate and promote forums on current local issues that impact local business.
  • Local Sales Tax Option/State-wide Sales Tax.
  • Host quarterly meetings with State and local Elected Officials and business members.
  • Identify alternative funding sources.
  • Interim Liquor Licenses Study.
  • Participate in the yearly " Business Days at the Capitol" event.
  • Serve on Montana Infrastructure Coalition.
  • Tax Increment Finance District and Targeted Economic Development District.
  • Weekly Legislative Updates.
  • Workforce Training Funds.
